plop stands for "Print Labels On Postcriptprinter". There are 2 versions: plop2, which bases on the default Unix toolset and a POSIX compliant shell and plop3, a Perl version. Both versions use Postscript code written by Henk Klöpping, who also wrote the shell version. The Perl version was created by Ben Mesman.
